Developer Advocate / Community Engineer

Help shape the future of Vueform. Support the open-source community, fix bugs, answer questions, and work on a real product — async, flexible, and paid.

🧩 About Vueform

Vueform is an open-source form framework for Vue.js, powering everything from simple contact forms to full-featured data entry interfaces. It’s built to be flexible, powerful, and developer-friendly.

Over the years, the community has grown steadily, and now we’re seeing more users, more contributors, and more interest — both from open-source and enterprise users. It's an exciting time, and there's more demand than one person can handle.

That’s where you come in.

👋 The Role

This is a part-time, remote, flexible role (starting at ~10 hrs/week) for a Vue developer who also enjoys helping people.

You’ll be a key part of the Vueform ecosystem — supporting both our open-source and enterprise users. You’ll help triage issues, answer technical questions, fix bugs, and improve the overall experience for everyone using Vueform.

This is not a typical support or customer service role. It’s a hands-on blend of dev work, community interaction, and product insight — perfect for someone who likes variety and working directly with real users.

🛠 What You’ll Do

  • Triage and respond to GitHub issues and PRs
  • Answer technical questions on Discord and in support channels
  • Fix small bugs and implement minor features
  • Review and support contributions from the community
  • Keep documentation up to date when needed
  • Help improve the product by surfacing common issues and feedback
  • Collaborate directly with me (the founder) to support users more effectively

✅ Who You Are

  • Comfortable with Vue 2 & 3 (and modern JS/TS)
  • Familiar with GitHub workflows (issues, PRs, discussions)
  • Strong written communication skills in English
  • Empathetic and community-oriented
  • Reliable and organized — you follow through on what you say you’ll do

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience supporting SaaS or open-source projects
  • Knowledge of form handling
  • A GitHub profile with relevant contributions

💡 What You’ll Get

  • Paid part-time freelance/contract work
  • Flexible hours — async, remote, and outcome-focused
  • Direct connection with real users
  • Visible impact in a growing OSS product
  • Public credit as a contributor (optional)
  • Direct collaboration with the founder
  • Potential to grow into more hours or an expanded role

🙌 How to Apply

No formal resume required — just send a short, friendly email.

Email me at adam@vueform.com and include the following:

  • A short introduction — who you are, what you’re into, and why this role caught your eye
  • Your GitHub profile or a link to a Vue-related project you’ve worked on
  • Your experience with Vue.js — how long you’ve been using it, and in what context (personal, freelance, full-time, OSS, etc.)
  • Your general development background — how long you’ve been coding and what tech stack(s) you’re comfortable with
  • Any relevant open-source experience — especially if you’ve been a maintainer or regular contributor to a project (even small ones!)
  • Your availability — how many hours per week you could start with, and your timezone.

That’s it! If it looks like a good fit, I’ll follow up for a quick chat.

📣 Know Someone Who Might Be a Good Fit?

If this role isn't for you but you know someone who might be a great fit, please feel free to share this page with them!

I'd really appreciate it — referrals from the community mean a lot. 💚
